SV Productios presents Russian puppet theater Khokhloma with a puppet show performance "The Rainbow Flower". Puppet shows by “Hohloma Puppet Theater of Houston”, producer and founder Elena Suvorova Philips. She and her artists will introduce fairytales to Austin public at first time.
Script: a little girl called Zhenya was on her way home from a store and met a lady who gave her a magical flower with seven petals – each a different color of the rainbow. Zhenya uses the first one to get home and then 5 for various silly things. When only the last petal is left she uses it to cure a boy who could not walk. It’s a kind yet easy to read and understand Puppet play.
Fly, petal, oh- East to West you go. Then North to South and turn around. Touch the ground, do, Make my wish come true.
The City of Austin’s Cultural Arts Division, a grant from the Texas Commission on the Arts, an award from the National Endowment for the Arts, One World Theater, Hohloma Puppet Theater of Houston, all have helped make this event possible. Please join us!
